It's my bday coming up and I'd like to get a few nice new things to wear. I have two preschoolers and do a lot of diy/gardening/drudgery/rushing. I have into a trap of wearing:

Jeans (skinny or slim leg)
Yoga pants
T-shirt's
Jumpers
Crocs
Wellies (we live in the countryside)

Sometimes when I have my baggy yoga pants on, tucked into my wellies, matched with a jumper covered in toddler snot and my hair scraped back I catch sight of myself and think "what have I become?!!"
I'm also growing our a bad haircut, and have very little time to style it, so at the moment I just look like a slob!

I have bunions (one arthritic, hereditary) so footwear choices can be limited.

Anything I choose has to be realistic, in that it's needs to be easily washable, comfy and I need to be able to "throw it on". I'm a size 10-12 with pale skin and red hair. I do not get my legs out.

Help! And thanks.

*i have fallen into a trap

I totally get where you’re coming from as I have a one year old and I’m trying to find a way to look decent while covered in porridge most day..
I would suggest to not venture too far from what you know but upgrade each item if that makes sense:
eg: jeans, wellies, T-shirt, jumper combo can become: jeans, Chelsea style wellies boots, blouse and cardigan. Example pics below but just for inspiration.
Another favourite of mine is thicker leggings with zips at the bottom (just looks a bit more dressed) and a larger linen shirt (can be buttoned, opened or tied depending on preference). I’ll add pics of those in a separate comment as it won’t let me do more than 3 pics in each.
Hopefully somewhat helpful, let me know if you have very different taste tho and I can always try again!

That's incredibly helpful @Boppertini , I think you're right about slightly upgrading the things I already throw on. If I venture too far from this I simply won't have time to put things together. I really like the leggings and everything else you've posted ! Thanks

I’m glad you liked it! The leggings are H&M but seem to be out of stock in most sizes - I’m sure there are similar available elsewhere. Hope you find lots of nice things for your bday!

I agree with @Boppertini wear what you do now but up the quality and style a notch. That way you are still comfy. Madmoiselle on YouTube/ Instagram always looks amazing and she has a toddler and a newborn. Sometimes she's in dead fancy stuff but others it a pair of leggings and a nice blouse or jumper ( she wears designer, high end high street and H&M). Use someone like her for inspiration ?

alos don't beat your self up, you are looking after 2 demanding humans. It's hard work

Also, don't know what your budget is by NRBY have gorgeous basics. I love their jersey and have leggings and shirts in it as well as some linen ( my kids are adults)

I have the leggings @Boppertini posted. They are fantastic! Really comfortable but smart looking and flattering (and I hate my legs).
