If you have a narrow face, what glasses do you wear?

I have quite a long, very narrow face. I really need new glasses but the only ones that seem to suit my face are the very narrow rectangular ones that look so dates now. I tried on a pair at Specsavers that I thought looked ok on the shop but once they arrived I hated them. I've tried a couple from online places but they still don't look nice.

Anyone got any tips for glasses that look reasonably stylish but suit a smaller face?

I have quite a narrow face and have to get small frames. I’ve just had a new pair from vision express which I love, they are Joules frames. Have a look at them online.

Thank you. I'll take a look.

You just need to try lots on. Some of the online sites allow you to search by measurement of the frames so you can limit the search to narrower frames. www.petiteglasses.com/best-glasses-for-narrow-faces/

I always ask the assistant to help me find those with a barrow bridge measurement - these always work better for me. I only found out a few years ago that there are different bridge measurements 🤦‍♀️

www.nifties-eyewear.com

Designed specifically for small faces. After years of having to wear too big glasses (or child frames) these have been a complete game changer for me

Specsavers do a petite range

I have a narrow face, but it’s not small.

I like 50’s cats eye type best. They tend to broaden your face as the sweep up and out.

I have a narrow face and must have purchased 9689075 pairs of glasses over the last 20 years. Just discovered the rayban range for teens. Best glasses I’ve ever had, and cheaper 😂

DH has a narrow face and buys from the children's range. Much cheaper and look MUCH better.

i picked out kate spade jeri this year and they fit my narrow face well.

I go for round glasses that cover or follow my brow line , I think I have size 54

So glad I saw this. I have terrible trouble finding glasses I like that fit me properly.
Never heard of Nifties so will take a look - even better if the website is to be believed there are 2 opticians close to me who stock them.

artisanbread · 24/04/2022 08:28

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've found some more petite ranges online and there is an opticians in my town that stocks Nifties so I'll take a look at those too.

Have a look at ace and Tate. You can filter by small frame and these are good. Finally managed to move away from the narrow, rectangle style yiu mention!
