i'm a short, stout,apple shaped , tomboy, (aged late 50's+ Wink ) always, always wear trousers, flat shoes, hate anything tight, and look awful in pastels, as i am very ruddy-faced

any inspiration from style and beauty mavens? please?

I love that green blouse and matching trousers- I think I could make that work!

I know what you mean about one-wear purchases- usually my clothes last years and get plenty of wear- but I so seldom wear anything celebratory or weddingy-

my last wedding outfit (greige linen trousers and top/black jacket) got plenty of work wear, and summer evening at the pub wear as seperates ) until I unfortunately outgrew them aroun( huge meno-tummy and bloating)

I 'll probably get plenty of wear out of the green blouse- the trousers would probably go to the charity shop 🙂must say I do love them! and I have a pair of green sandals that will hopefully suit

If you have time, stalk ebay for Shibumi. I adore their coats/jackets, but rather less the price and they come up a lot on ebay. I get a surprising amount of wear out of mine as I'll wear it out to dinner over plether trousers and a black top.
