Why do brands like Joules and Seasalt have hardly any outlets in London

Joules has a small outlet in Waterloo station and I know Seasalt has an outlet in Wimbledon (but I am in north west London). I know that I can order online and I have ordered online in the past but I do love a browse in a physical shop. I exclusively wear print dresses (except at work where I default to dresses in more subdued colours and patterns) so I am suited to the aesthetic of those brands. Most of my clothes shopping (in physical stores) tends to happen on day trips or on UK holidays as a result. Or I order online but I think that's a pity, I would love to support the high street.

I am just wondering- is joules and seasalt that unpopular with my fellow Londoners?

Good point. I’m not a Joules fan but found it odd that they have decent sized shops at Centre Parks and an outlet heading out of London towards the M40 (which is a PITA to get to). Kids clothes seem nice, though.

@desiringonlychild2022 Just been in my local massive M&S and they have rearranged to accommodate a fairly big Seasalt section so might be worth a look if you have one nearby!

Oh OP get yourself down the king's road and find something a biy more stylish. You're only 29! My mum wears those brands at almost 70.

@thisplaceisweird I need help looking older! A Caffe Nero assistant gave me a discount meant for UCL students cos she thought I was at uni. She asked me whether I was from UCL? I said no, I am from *insert rival london university' (honestly didn't think she meant that I was there currently as i was at uni so many years ago). She said its fine, and said that would be 60p off for you.

a few years ago pre covid, a lifeguard tried to tell me that I needed to be accompanied by a parent at the swimming pool cos I am under 16. I told him my parents live overseas and that i am married, thank you very much!
