No white marks deodorant (ideally anti-perspirant!!) for long hot evening in dark dress

I have an upcoming big event for which I am (now regrettably!!) planning to wear a lovely very dark blue dress with strappy sleeves that only just cover my shoulders, hence any white marks made by deodorant will be visible every time I lift my arms vaguely upwards.

I’m not intending to spend the whole event doing the YMCA dance but nor do I want to feel self conscious and have to keep my elbows clamped to my sides all night.

I am not the loveliest-smelling person after several hours (plus dancing) out on a hot June evening. (Makes me sound stinky, which I am honestly not!!! But I have to really factor in effective soaps and anti-perspirants to keep pongs at bay. I certainly am not naturally on the fragrant side in the armpit zone.)

OBVIOUSLY I will wash like mad with soap before the event…

But usually in warm weather I need something like my trusty Sure intensive stick. Even my usual daily anti perspirant (a Sure roll on FOR MEN) wouldn’t be enough for total reassurance. But BOTH (especially the stick one) are White Mark Central. There’s no way white powdery marks wouldn’t drift down onto the slightly cut-away underarm area of the dark dress, even if (unlikely, as it pulls on) I could get the dress on without getting white marks on it.

Please don’t suggest I get another dress this is the only one I found flattering and I feel great in it. In fact part of the reason I went for a no-sleeve style in the end was because I always keep cooler and fresher in the pits zone without a sleeve. But now I’m worrying about the white marks issue I wish I’d found something with a sleeve!

NO ‘natural’ PitRok type options work on me. Within 30 mins of any of those I smell

Since starting underarm laser a couple of months back I’m less smelly so I don’t think I necc need anything like my daily strong options. But I want to try out a few no-white-marks options (if these really exist) to see which is the most effective against pong…

I use the lidl no marks roll on, never had white residue and works great

Use DriClor for a couple of weeks before the event and you probably won’t need deodorant at all for the event.

Sanex Dermo Invisible Anti Perspirant Spray

Neat vodka in a little spray bottle, or mixed with your preferred perfume (about 10% perfume, the rest vodka). Requires regular respraying but the alcohol kills the bacteria, and if you add some perfume is just like a gentle-scented body spray so you can pop to the loos every half hour and have a top up. No white marks and you can keep in your purse in a little refillable travel perfume bottle. I have a 10ml one that works great for nights out
