Giving up make up

I haven't been wearing make up for the past few days as I've been off work and haven't really been anywhere much. I was going out today and put my usual make up on and really didn't like the way I looked! Preferred myself without it tbh

I have pale hair so eyelashes are more or less invisible, so I didn't think I'd ever get to a point where I'd think I look better without make up, but here we are!

Has anyone done this and do you have tips on looking put together without it?

I'm not a carefree with my appearance type either, so always do hair and love clothes, so this seems like a departure! Can it work though? I don't work in a particularly corporate environment, so it certainly isn't essential there.

I'm envious. I would love to give up makeup. I have rosacea I tend not to wear makeup on my days off and when folks see me out they always comment that I look hot or think I've suddenly caught too much sun and want to warn me. I know that I will give up make up when I'm older, but I still work and for now I care too much about how the rosacea looks.

I totally empathise dudsville. Mine was the spotty type rather than redness. I do have red undertones to my skin and I do blush a lot, but my problem was big fecking lumpy red spots across my cheeks and nose. They have gone after a lot of different things including several long courses of antibiotics.

I've found zinc and calendula are keeping it at bay now and I'm also on the combi pill which I think stops it getting oily which helps I think. It may come back obviously
