I had my eyebrows microbladed today...

And I flipping love them!

I wanted a fluffy, wild look and I am so so happy with them. I lost my eyebrows at 10 years old due to a medical condition and have been drawing them in for the best part of 30 years. I honestly can't believe I'm going to wake up with these eyebrows in the morning and not my patchy, uneven ones.

Just so happy and wanted to share! Grin

That's such a lovely result. Your eyes look amazing!

Ohmnomnom · 15/04/2022 20:51

@excelledyourself Absolutely! I've done at least an hour of PR work tonight sending pms 😂

Ok I can't keep up with all the pm requests so here is her Insta:

👋 Waves to anyone that knows me!

A pp asked if they hurt, I really didn't feel a thing! The first time I had it done (different artist) I had to stick tissues in my ears because tears kept rolling backwards down my face and collecting in my ears! It was so painful.

This time she used a numbing cream and let it sit for 10 minutes. I could feel the vibration from the scratches, but no pain whatsoever.

They feel quite tight now as the scabs are starting to form. I'm practising all the aftercare religiously! I've got my top up booked in 11 weeks to fill in any areas that might fade.

Right, off to name change now!

MrsDThomas · 15/04/2022 21:50

They look fab!

TabithaTittlemouse · 15/04/2022 21:54

I’ve never been into the micro blading look but yours are gorgeous! I’m very tempted!

IvorCutler · 15/04/2022 21:54

They look incredible op! You must be so pleased!

JanePrentiss · 15/04/2022 21:57

planetme what a lovely thing to do, my ryebrows are f**d from me being an idiot and overplucking so completely self inflicted 😁, but I hope there is a mumsnetter who sees your message and can be helped Flowers

7eleven · 15/04/2022 23:31

Ooh ooh ooh OP, that’s traveable for me and I’m thinking about getting mine done…

BarnacleNora · 16/04/2022 00:28

They're gorgeous! I'm really despairing of my brows, they've gotten so patchy (not from over plucking either, I'm convinced my thyroid is on the wonk despite all blood tests denying this is the case)

Anyway I have a micro blading question. As you can see from my photo, my brows like to extend all the way down my eye socket. They're quite faint at the moment as they're just starting to grow back after last threading session, but usually all those hairs down the side/on top of the eyelid are quite thick. How on Earth do you manage those hairs if you've had them micro bladed? Or if you've got patchy brows and have thicker sections that still need some managements in contrast to the thinner sections that need filling in? Do you just thread/pluck/whatever over the top of the tattoo bit?

So tempted to save up, I used to have amazing brows and now they're just really shit. And I'm useless at drawing/filling them in as well!

@BarnacleNora yes just pluck/thread as usual
I use an eyebrow razor and just follow the shape basically

sycamore80 · 16/04/2022 09:27

What?!!! @Ohmnomnom These are AMAZING!!!!!! Where did you get them done OP??? Every time I get mine done they look ridiculous for about a week until they fade down. I've never seen such nice ones on the same day.

Would love to know where you had them done please? 🙏🙏

sycamore80 · 16/04/2022 09:28

Oh sorry just saw your update!

Ohmnomnom · 16/04/2022 10:40

Eyebrow update!

They are MUCH darker today! Perfectly normal and all part of the process, but I do feel a bit like the dad from Schitts Creek.

Still love them, even if the postman did look a bit startled this morning while handing me a package Grin

@BarnacleNora Yes, you'd just pluck/thread your eyebrow as usual once the tattoo has healed. Those eyebrow razors look good as well I might have to invest in one.

@Ohmnomnom they look great, why do they go darker and presumably then lighter again?

Ohmnomnom · 16/04/2022 11:10

@MissSmiley I think it's because they scab over while they heal. Like when you scratch yourself and the scab goes dark before it falls off.

Once the scabs fall off they are very light because the skin is still healing over the top of the colour so it blocks it out. It takes about 6 weeks for the true colour to really show. It's a journey!

You look fab op.
I had a lash lift yesterday and absolutely love the results, can't stop looking at myself.
