Flounces, frills and tiers lead to my tears!

Just a whinge if I may 😁

The backstory is that I’m ear,y 50s and on a weight loss “journey” (sorry 🙄) following gastric surgery, so I’m really not confident when it comes to clothes.
I’m now in a size 20, heading for an 18, and have ventured out to look for an everyday non fussy dress. In the days before I got horrendously overweight I was more “classic style” as opposed to high fashion.
Almost everything I’ve seen has blooming flounces and frills and tiers. I wore tiered dresses when I was a wee girl in the 70s, should I be wearing them now?!

I had no idea how hard it would be!

Budget only up to £40 as it will become too big quite quickly, but I’d not thought about m&co-I quite like that stripy one-so thank you!
