So utterly fed up of thick clumpy mascaras

Tried so many mascaras, thrown so many in the bin! All I want in a mascara is a nice smooth consistency with no clumps. Every single one I try is thick, gloopy and lumpy. Oh and a decent wand without 5000 bristles would be an added bonus!
Any suggestions? Don't mind paying a bit extra if it actually works! Thanks

Like @AprilLady I have fairly sparse lashes and mascaras clump on me whatever I do - I think it's a pitfall of not having many lashes for the product to work with.

I've taken to keeping an old, empty mascara tube and brush (Benefit Bad Gal, nice simply spoolie type brush) and loading it up with about a sixth of the product that comes out on a new brush - I press and rotate the old brush against just one lengthwise section of the new, fully loaded brush. Works like a charm, although is possibly unhygienic...

Another vote for glossier here. I like quite a natural look, it doesn’t give the same volume as other mascaras but I love it for adding a bit of definition, colour and length without any clumping, I find it doesn’t smudge easily either.

Have ordered the glossier. Was a bit more than I would usually spend but I'm hopeful it will work after everyone's recommendations! Fingers crossed.

Some useful recommendations here, I've noticed a lot of clumpiness and mess in the mascaras I've been using recently, along with huge bushy brushes I keep stabbing myself in the eye with.

Eyeko mascaras seem good in this regard, with nice small manageable brushes. I seem to remember having a Bobbi Brown one at one time that was non-clumpy and had a good brush, too.

1000% clinique power lash.

Lancôme Hypnose. I honestly never learn and try 15 other cheaper mascaras to the ££tune££ of about 5 Hypnose, which I always go back to.

Rimmel Extra 3D you can add as much volume as you like by layering - it's fabulous stuff 🙂

Yellowghost · 14/04/2022 20:44

If you get on well with the glossier one, wet and wild mega length is a dupe for this, around £5 in boots.

Germolenequeen · 14/04/2022 20:45

Used to use Maybelline Great Lash but this is better 😉
