New work wardrobe HELP!

Hey there
I've just landed a brilliant new job that I'm excited about and I'm going to need to (find an excuse to ;D ) update my wardrobe significantly.

It's a very senior role in a young, cool and creative business in London.
The other leaders are mostly male, over 50 and wear work casual, no trainers, no denim.

I need some brilliant key pieces that make me look slick / elegant / classy but still with an edge / flair that's in keeping with the industry.

It needs to be cool and youthful, fashion-forward rather than tailored and traditional. No skirt suits for me thanks.
I like dresses a lot but the majority now are too floaty and floral or too frumpy for this brief. I need sharper, bolder things!
Definitely heels, most of the time, they don't have to be high, but no trainers for now.

I'm not scared of print or colour, although I usually wear a lot of black. I used to wear a lot of Cos, although I'd like some more form-fitting things this time.

Can you picture it!? Can you point me at any particular shops / brands to look at? I've found some nice basics on John Lewis website but not much. Maybe one or two things in Cos...

Happy to spend a bit, but thinking along the lines of Whistles prices at the top end rather than Chloe (we can dream!).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions Star

Yes that’s the right ‘bluecollar…’ link OP. I’m not loving her combinations on the front page but I think she has some interesting ideas on layering and bold colour combinations. It’s not for everyone but neither is the slim pants and blazer in about 4 colourways capsule look.
