Baby Botox! Is it possible to have Botox but retain some movement in your forehead?

Hi!

I’m considering Botox but don’t want a frozen look - does baby Botox actually create the desired effect? I.e. smooths things out but you can still make expressions? Would love to know!

TIA

I don’t know if what I have is ‘baby botox’ but I only have one area injected, my 11s so I still have movement in my forehead, ie I can raise my eyebrows fully, one at a time or together, I just can’t frown fully. Hope that helps x

Thanks that’s helpful actually, because that’s my area of concern too.

Can I ask how much you have injected there?

I get botox in my forehead for migraines and there's a known aesthetic benefit too. It definitely doesn't make me look frozen! I have a very expressive face and it only slightly reduces my forehead movement for about eight weeks. It wears off, too.

(Oh, should have said, I'm early thirties, so a bit old for baby botox but not much!)

Thanks that’s interesting :-)

I don’t know if it’s baby Botox, I just don’t have much put in! I can move my forehead, eyebrows etc but the lines are softened. Just get them to use a light touch/not put much in and see how you like it? I get my 11s done and crows feet - love it

Hotmess1 · 08/04/2022 09:17

No idea of the amount I’m afraid, they literally only put it between my eyebrows though, I think 3 little jabs in total but it’s classed as one ‘area’. I only have it done twice a year if that, I just find that stops the line getting much worse and still keeps it looking natural x

MissStarry · 08/04/2022 09:39

I have baby Botox and can still move my face.

notacooldad · 08/04/2022 09:42

I've never heard of baby botox but I've had my vertical lines done and I can still raise my eyebrows and frown. I just look less severe. I am really pleased with it.

ArabeI · 08/04/2022 10:21

I didn't have any lines, other than dynamic lines, so mine was/is preventative. I can still raise my eyebrows and have movement, though I appear to have 'forgotten' how to frown and that requires concentration.

I didn't want too much and wanted a natural look, having seen friends unhappy with 'surprised' look or a heavy brow.

Innocenta · 08/04/2022 10:50

@notacooldad baby Botox is small amounts done on young women, with a mostly preventative effect.

Innocenta
Thanks,
I’ve never seen it listed or called that anywhere.
I’m way past baby Botox anyway, I probably need extra strength!😂

ArabeI · 08/04/2022 11:23

I'm not so young! Though pp is right it's generally younger women who have it.

I think it gives a nice refresh, too!
