What do you wear with a jumpsuit if it's chilly?

In a quest to update my wardrobe and get out of a jeans/jumpers/t shirts rut I've bought a new jumpsuit. I have a vision of wearing it with sandals on warm, sunny days... but in reality it turns out to usually be quite cold!

I'd like to get some ideas if what to wear with it so I don't freeze or it'll just languish in my wardrobe until the 3 warm days we get this year. A cardi and trainers? A denim jacket? I get the impression that neither are very stylish at the moment, but what is?!?

What do you wear with a jumpsuit if it's chilly?

Lovely jumpsuit. I think it’ll look great with trainers.
A cardi is hard to get right - something a bit chunky and cropped might work but I find they often drag an outfit right down. I know people on here aren’t keen but a denim jacket would absolutely work.

Or cotton jumper like this.

That jumper does look good - I wonder how you keep it tucked up like that? I'm no good at french tucking etc!

Put a belt on the outside of the jumpsuit and tuck it into the belt, or buy a cropped jumper!

Cardis and denim jackets are indeed in fashion at the moment, but the shape of them is super important to stop them from looking dated.

This is the current 'on trend' shape of denim jacket. You could also go for something very oversized and longer in style.
This is the kind of cardi that would look more chic - chunkier and boxier, nothing thin and tight
