Bottega veneta bag - which colour?

I love these handbags but torn with which colour? Either dark red or almond.

I love both, worried they red is a little tricky to match but worried the almond is perhaps not as special/stand out?

Thoughts please!

Dark red will go with most outfits and colours and has the wow factor

Also looks the most expensive

Oohhhh that red is gorgeous. Dark and burgundy-ish enough to be really versatile. I’d go for that one for maximum impact. I have an oxblood bag and a couple in wine red and it really is a good colour - goes with much more than you think!

Hmmm looking at other photos it’s clear it’s actually a proper dark red bag, not on the burgundy side I don’t think. But I still love it and you should go for the bold one.

I’ve got a vintage Gucci reins bag in a very similar colour red and it does indeed go with basically everything.

Red, good choice. Looks expensive and goes with loads - black, navy, grey, all the neutrals. I also think almond would get dirty?

They're all gorgeous, OP. Depends on the rest of your wardrobe and what fits. I wear loads of burgundy so wouldn't have a problem styling the red one. It would also be lovely with neutrals though, to give a pop of colour.

A quick update, I refunded this bag. When it arrived it just didn't sit right as it stays open - despite the picture showing the bag closed - it has no clasp and the leather too soft to keep the opening closed.

It didn't feel or look anyway near the price - I wasn't impressed!

Thought I'd just update for anyone considering purchasing this bag.

That's a shame. I don't normally like the expensive bags people link to, but I alwys look out of curiosity and I thought this one, in the red, was really special.

@dudsville agree; I couldn't believe there was nothing to clip the bag shut, or even a drawstring just to clasp it together as the shape is much better that way. I have the padded cassette from bottega and I'll just stick with that for now.
