Soft leggings that aren't see through?

LutzClutz · 01/04/2022 11:04

Any brand recommendations?
All the ones on the high street I've tried on are so thin.
Looking for cotton rather than the shiny Lycra type. Mainly for mooching around soft play and the park with toddler.

starfish ones from lands end. they often have sales or discount codes, so i never pay full price

Oriunda · 01/04/2022 13:25

Not cotton (I don’t think), but I love mine from State of Disarray.

AuraBora · 01/04/2022 13:35

Love Leggings - classic high waisted. 95% cotton and 5% elastane. Good quality and lots of different colours.

Branleuse · 01/04/2022 13:37

Sainsburies luxury ones in a size up

TerrazzoChips · 01/04/2022 23:01

If you’re prepared to pay a little more lulu lemon aligns are the softest leggings ever. Or sweaty Betty super soft or all day leggings.

Gladioli23 · 01/04/2022 23:05

I'm pretty sure the ones I have from Primark (the cosy ones that were £5) aren't see through.

They've started wearing thin/out now but I've been wearing them since autumn 2019 basically every day from sept-end of April so for 24 ish months in total spread across 3 pairs.

Casmama · 01/04/2022 23:14

The comfiest leggings ever!

Soft leggings that aren't see through?
Casmama · 01/04/2022 23:17

Should have said - not at all see through and the only leggings I will now buy other than occasional pairs from https://carolinadressroom.co.uk/collections/leggings-extra-comfort but they are a very marmite option Wink

CoffeeBeansGalore · 01/04/2022 23:20

Asda do cotton ones that are not see through. Plain £10 for 2 pairs, £14 for 2 ribbed pairs.

minniep · 01/04/2022 23:22

I got some love leggings ones and they are great. Really good quality. Excellent customer service as well. I particularly love them as their petite is an actual genuine petite size (I know that's not what you asked but is so rare that I am super impressed).

ShinyPikachu · 02/04/2022 01:24

LucyLocketLoves casuals are super soft. They're not cotton but the comfiest leggings I've owned and have never been see-through for me, even on my sizeable arse.

If you can find some of the older ones on eBay or whatever then they feel even softer than the newer ones as they have a more brushed feel to them but if you want plain colours rather than patterns then they're only in the newer fabric.

Greatoutdoors · 02/04/2022 01:36

I always rate TU leggings from Sainsbo's

peasandcarrrots · 02/04/2022 01:52

www.rainbowsandsprinkles.co.uk/

Amazing leggings, thick, comfy and gorgeous prints.

SmugOldBag · 02/04/2022 01:56

Another vote for Lululemon Align. They are the softest ever and definitely not see through.

Parkmama · 02/04/2022 02:32

@Casmama I was about to recommend these leggings from Amazon too! I have at least 3 pairs of them and wear them ALL the time. They wash really well and hold everything in, in all the right places!

backtobusy · 02/04/2022 14:40

I would also say lululemon, they are actually too soft for me.

Oldnews · 02/04/2022 16:45

Another vote for amazon sinophant ones - I have 5 pairs and wear them every day to work from home.

MsDastardley · 02/04/2022 16:48

Bam are nice. My favourite is Sweaty Betty All Day

itsgettingweird · 02/04/2022 16:52

I wear adidas 3 stripe leggings.

They aren't cheap at £20 (ish) a pair but I've had 2 pairs for 2 years that still looked brand new and only got rid of them as ripped in the groin area. I suspect this is because of climbing over fences I've been doing! (In my job!)

balalake · 02/04/2022 17:05

Why not jeans or trousers to avoid things ever being see through?

LutzClutz · 05/04/2022 11:11

Thanks for all the ideas...definitely liking the Love Leggings site and will order a pair to see what they're like. Also the Amazon ones. Lulu Melon I'm sure are great too but a bit too pricey.
I do have jeans and trousers too, but for dog walking/soft play/quick trip to the local playground I tend to gravitate to leggings.

@Parkmama @Casmama I love these leggings too- I have about 5 pairs, the first ones have lasted 3 years with no holes! I adore them, they are so comfy for the price and not see through at all. The waistband is what makes the difference, it's supersoft but supportive.

PineappleWilson · 05/04/2022 11:25

@Casmama I love those leggings. How long do they come up? I'm only 5"3, so can end up with baggy ankles if they're too long.

BulletTrain · 05/04/2022 12:15

Another vote for Sainsbury's TU Luxury ones.

Casmama · 05/04/2022 13:08

I'm 5 ft 8 and they fit me well but I recommended to a friend who I think is 5 ft 5 and they were fine for her too so they might be ok.
