To go to a different hairdresser or do a DIY job?

My brilliant hairdresser of nearly 10 years is on maternity leave and I’m a bit stuck as what to do in the meantime.

The thought of finding another hairdresser who I trust and potentially turning into a costly mistake is worrying me.

The alternative is doing a DIY job on my roots as hairdresser can advise me the colours etc that she uses.

For info, my hair has balayage and a long root anyway as I like easy maintenance so it’s not like I’ll be attempting a full head of highlights on myself.

I’ve got a few events in the coming months so id like it to look half decent.

Any advice welcome!

Why not ask your hairdresser if she can recommend someone?
It is hard to advise without knowing what you are thinking of doing!

I think at the moment I could get away with just tinting my roots as the bare minimum.

I don’t think the blonde will need doing for another couple of months and it always tends to lighten up in the summer anyway. I hoping a purple shampoo will help with upkeep.

I used to have hair similar to this, and I always used Nice and Easy Root touch up in between hairdresser visits. Made the time between appointments stretch so I saved money! 😊
