Occasion outfit, similar in style to Jackie Kennedy!

Hoping for some style ideas and suggestions! I have a summer wedding invitation and another important social occasion to dress up for this summer. I am mid-50s and my favourite style icon is Jackie Kennedy. My preference is a dress with 3/4 sleeves or sleeveless dress and jacket, but definitely don’t want to look like MOTB! Any ideas welcome, as anything I see in the shops just doesn’t inspire me at all!

I looked at this for my elder daughter's wedding and am now looking again for my younger daughter's wedding (if I do get one, then I suppose by definition it's a MOTB outfit ).
I was only put off by some of the reviews saying exchanges and/or returns could be difficult.

I got a fabulous outfit for a royal garden party at a vintage shop - it's properly tailored, I love it. It's a knee length dress, short sleeved, with a little high neck, and it has a matching dress coat, both with a gorgeous trim. I would say it's mid 60s. If you're after the Jackie O look, don't want the usual MOTB outfit, and don't mind vintage, it might be worth looking online or in some vintage shops?

I was looking for a friend recently online who couldn't find anything & Hobbs had a whole range of IMO lovely outfits - sone tailored and sone more floaty.

What about something like this Joseph Ribkoff dress? It's Modern and very wearable but has that Jackie O 60's vibe.
