Help me find a jacket

I have a denim jacket that I love but I need a non-denim jacket to wear on occasions where denim just isn't right - usually with jeans (double denim doesn't work for me), sometime other outfits.

Similar sort of weight to denim - nothing too thick or insulated. Not cropped, not long, I'm looking for something around hip length. I've considered leather, but can't decide if that's quite the thing either. Hush had a cotton biker jacket last year but I missed it - that would have been ideal and I'm still kicking myself.

I'm 5'9 and a size 16

Budget is up to £200, but could go to £300 (ish) for leather.

Any suggestions?

If a blazer would hit the mark, have a look at John Lewis as they have some new brands eg Mos Mosh, as well as the classics (whistles, MaxMara, Joseph etc)

I got a bit excited then, I used to love All Saints when I was thinner but they only go up to a 14 which I don't think will quite be big enough, especially in a jacket.

Sorry, I didn't realise they only went up to a 14. Don't rule it out though, I do think their leather jackets are generously sized. You might find you're fine with a 14. They have a sale on at the moment that includes a load of leather jackets, you could order a couple to try and return if they don't work.

I bet a 14 in a leather jacket would be perfect - All Saints recommend sizing down.

Coming back to thank everyone for their very helpful comments. In the end, I didn't have quite the budget I had hoped for due to some other unexpected costs, and after much dithering, I went for the Hush jacket as recommended by Remus. It is lovely, exactly what I was hoping for.

And following the multiple recommendations, I will be popping into All Saints to try on some of their leather jackets with a view to asking DH nicely at Christmas time if they fit.
