I had my hair coloured earlier in the week and I left looking exactly the same as I did when I went in… but with darker roots Hmm.

My hair never turns out even remotely like the picture I show them but usually I like it enough to just live with it. This time though I couldn’t. I’m also pretty easy going with my hair. I’ve had every colour under the sun but when I’ve paid to look exactly the same as when I went in, albeit with more cut off than I asked for, I couldn’t leave it.

How awkward is this going to be..? I wanted a golden root melt/balayage. Sort of a mid golden brown on the root melting into a yellow blonde and I left with orange hair with sparse, thin blonde highlights and a dark root. I love my hairdresser to bits. I really do and I’d never want to offend her but I can’t even fathom how it went quite so wrong!

I think you just need to be honest and say you don't see enough difference and so want to ask what they can do to change it
My lovely hairdresser could tell I hated mine once and immediately stopped cutting and said "I know you don't like it so let's fix it ".
A good hairdresser should do that
