If you have tailor’s bunions (the ones on the outside of your feet)…

… which sandals work for you?

I usually wear Birkenstocks, but I put them on yesterday for the first time this year and they rubbed my right foot’s bunion.

See your GP for a referral to get the bunion removed, life changer!

I have one too but it doesn’t cause me any pain. It just makes my foot wider so I can live with it

I tried maybe 8/9 years ago, but got told to just change my footwear! I was given special insoles in my trainers and the podiatrist said there weren’t any other shoes, apart from the trainers, I could wear except the ones in a very sad catalogue (which I didn’t buy from).

I’d love to get them fixed! Have you had it done, anotherbloodyyearofcovid?

Clogs are wonderful. May take a while to break them in but well worth it. And they come in various styles and colours now.

I’ve bunions on both feet & now only choose sandals with a criss cross strap, never a single strap across them. Best sandals I’ve found are Next comfort type wide fitting - I could walk for hours with no rubbing or bunion pain.

I wear moshulu sandals in their wasabi style. They are naturally wide, and have thin straps over the side of the foot and my bunions sort of poke through. Sounds yuk, I know, but it’s the best I’ve found. I buy two pairs every spring and wear them to death, walk for miles in them. And then I wear last season’s sandals on the beach to finally wreck them Smile. The blackcurrant is particularly nice. They have a buckle so I can tighten them towards my ankle and that keeps them on.

I’m waiting for the metallic colours to come out.
