Is there a product that you can put on dry hair before you curl it with a wave iron that helps the waves stay?

Just that really! I'd like defined waves rather than ending up looking like Mrs Twit

Hair mousse works on mine to keep the style for longer. I put it on when hair is wet and blown dry as normal, then style with the curling iron. There must be loads of products to choose from though it will be interesting to see what others suggest

Put mousse through wet hair before drying this will hold it.

Interested as just bought a new Curling wand! Maybe one with heat protection?

George Northwood wave holding spray is good. They sell it in boots for about £15. It keeps the waves in my super thick, stubborn hair. It's really light too-no crispiness!

Waves always work better the day after a hair wash. I find drying and straightening on day 1 is best and then wave on day 2. Hairspray each section before waving.
