Help me find a non wedding dress to get married in!

pleasegetreadyforbed · 10/03/2022 20:41

I'm getting married in a few months. DP and I have been together for 13 years so we're not bothered about making a fuss so it's a very small wedding. However, I would like to at least try and look nice. I want a dress with a bit of a vintagey feel I think. I can't find anything that is exactly right. I want midi or maxi length because I have shit legs. Size 10. Up to £350. I'll try and attach some photos of the sort of dress I want. I know you lovely lot are really good at this sort of thing. Please help me!

Thank you

Have you looked at L K Bennet?

I love their tea dresses, some of them are vintagey.

How would you feel about ebay?

Something like this

I was also going to suggest a Nancy Mac jumpsuit.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

Love the 2nd one.
I love it, and I'd definitely re use it lots after I got married which is a big plus. I just wasn't sure if it was too plain.

I really really love the shape of the last one but I'm not sure I could pull of that colour, I'm really pale (sort of sallow pale rather than a luminous pale Blush).

I really love the style of the very first one, bit love the colour of the second. Dark green usually looks lovely on pale skin (I'm pale skinned and I always suit that and navy blue).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/03/2022 21:01

That last one I linked comes in other colours too.

Reformation is also worth a look www.thereformation.com/products/winslow-dress/0503333EMR.html?dwvar_0503333EMR_color=EMR

I think if you took away the head piece it's a very boring dress for that budget?

I love the 2nd one you linked to / colour is wow

I also love the ones Remus linked to - the kimono dress is simplicity but elegant - I dont know the brand but I would definitely be trying that on as well as yr 2nd choice and the hydrangea dress

I like the velvet one too but could be too warm depending on what you mean by a few months time .

I don't think any are too plain - classic and elegant yes . Also your accessories will make it pop .

Good luck choosing

pleasegetreadyforbed · 12/03/2022 23:03

Oh no the second dress I linked to is no longer available!
