What sort of casual tops are we wearing these days? Early 40’s, UK12, tallish, proportionate apple

I’ve been living in Bretons for years and felt fine in them until recently. Obviously I knew they weren’t high fashion or anything but they made up the vast majority of my casual tops . I wfh and don’t live in the most fashion forward of places. However, for some reason, they look really dated and mumsy all of a sudden (I can hear a lot of you thinking “all of a sudden?!” )

I don’t want to wear what the teens and 20 somethings are wearing. What are 40 something women wearing as casual wear these days? I have quite big boobs so anything too low (slutty) or too high cut (matronly) is out.

Following, I have quite a few Bretons and am struggling to know what to wear at the moment. Also have big boobs so some styles can be tricky.

Shirts/blouses mainly, and some nice knitwear...
You can find different necklines for blouses which will suit a larger bust, if you don't go down the usual button shirt idea. Shirts can be fitted or oversized.

Can't go much wrong with a shirt. Unbutton the neck for desired neckline. Tuck in, wear out, tie the bottom up or wear undone over a top or dress.
