Laser for age spots?

rainydogday · 03/03/2022 20:25

I have started getting liver coloured age spots on my nose and random places on my face. Use factor 30 or 50 now but did worship the sun previously. I am 42. Thinking I need zapping. Is it laser or what do I need to Google or look for at a clinic. Want something that will last and fix it! Then promise always to look after my
Skin......

This is good to hear. I'm considering it having now tried pretty much every cream and then tret for six months and still no change

Have a look at cryo pen for age/sun spots, cheaper and quicker than laser xx

@happyhearts do you mean a gadget you use at home? If so, do you have a link?

SleekMamma · 07/01/2023 23:11

Sounds like a great response. You are wearing proper SPF 50 each day now, yes?

SleekMamma · 07/01/2023 23:14

The laser the beautician uses will be set to the specific wavelength and depth etc to target precisely the right depth into your skin, to zap the melanocytes (making the dark patches)

Nothing the consumers can buy can be this accurate.

Red light led face masks (and RF) can help make collagen, but we can't do any more than that at home.

Yes, I found a good factor 50 that doesn't sting or itch! La Roche posey, more like a fluid.

I have had IPL for sunspots a few years ago and it worked but I haven't been as good as I should have been applying factor 50 and they have returned. I have booked a session with a local nurse skin specialist to have IPL again next week. Cost £40

@Anjelika it is a treatment you can get from a nurse or aesthetic place but not hugely expensive xx
