Cellulite

Oh my gosh I have just left the shops almost in tears. I am a 10/12 with a flat-ish tummy, I run 4-5 times a week (only 5k) and do squats, kettlebell routines.....why on earth is my cellulite so bad! It's front and back and I'm not exaggerating when I say I have NEVER seen anyone's worse than mine.
We are going on holiday at Easter and I know this is very much a first world problem but after looking at my reflection today I am utterly mortified.
I could probably lost about half a stone before we go (am currently 9) but I don't think it's going to make a huge difference to the cellulite.

Has anyone got any magic tips to help me?

@TLIMSISNW 5km is short in terms of running. It’s great for a quick workout, but no need to say my comment is “just wrong”, it really isn’t. A longer slow run would use fat as a fuel source and yield increased results.

OP do you do gym work and then running straight after? I’d suggest not to combine them, but if you run first, do strength work afterwards.

Water and clean eating are really key as well.

Aw I feel your pain!! I also run and lift weights regularly, walk the dog for half an hour every day and still have cellulite :( mine is mostly on my stomach which can be covered up but I hate it as other than that my stomach is flat and can be quite toned. Also on the bum. Last summer I used Margaret Dabbs leg cream plus dry brushing daily and that did make a difference so I will do that again. Skinny tan is also good at disguising a bit. I have also heard good things about using a rebounder for exercise as it can be linked to lymphatic drainage so I am going to add that in too in preparation for the summer hols. As others have said, please don't think that those changing room mirrors are showing the real you, I'm sure to others you look great and they are probably envying your arms or some other asset you haven't thought of! Xxx

Thank you for all the latest replies! I have dug out a body brush I used years ago (have also had cellulite since I was a young teen, 30 years ago!!).

I have a body fat setting on the scales so I will see if I can reduce it a bit before the holiday.

I could do with eating a bit better, I try to watch my weight but I LOVE cheese and chocolate Grin

The changing rooms in Cos are the absolute worst. I avoid that shop because of them. They may as well be magic cellulite mirrors!!

What is body brushing?
