Big Fish Little Fish family rave - what to wear?

I booked Big Fish Little Fish on a bit of a wild hair ages ago just to see if it'd be fun. I wasn't really a raver or festivalgoer pre-DC, not in this way anyway, I skewed indie kid, so I don't really have any club or festival gear. Any suggestions for what to wear? I know whatever will be fine, just wondering if I'm better wearing stretchy/light stuff or "dressing up" a bit.

I've been, a few people really dressed up, but most people just wore normal clothes, something nice but comfortable enough to run round after kids, they also have bubbles/snow/foam so nothing that can be ruined. Also gets quite warm so nothing too hot.

Thank you! That's sort of what I figured. I kind of want to wear yoga pants and a sports bra Grin but wasn't sure if that was just ridic. Should've gone old skool, bought a tub of body glitter and just gone full bonkers with it.

Leaving this here just in case anyone ever had cause to Google it: I decided on a bikini top under an old tied up t-shirt, yoga pants, high tops and some gold eyeshadow Grin

How was it, OP? I thought it looked like fun but wasn't really sure what age it was for?

I'd go head to toe in neon, but I have lots of it from teaching fitness Grin

We had a banging time. The DC (Y2 and preschool) took to it right away, although the preschooler persisted in dancing around me as though I were a handbag. It brought back that pre-DC feeling of being so lit that you dance until your feet fall off, except this time you're dancing with your DC. It's great.

We did indeed get foamed from head to foot. Outfits varied from full on silver space-themed clubwear to pub jeans and t-shirts. Next time I'm bringing the glow sticks, glitter and stick-on jewels though.

Oh yes, and the FAQ said it's for all age DC but mostly under 8s. Older are welcome but aren't allowed to run wild. It was definitely mostly age 8 and under.

I'm the Founder of BFLF and I'm so excited we've got a thread on here! When I first came up with the idea of a family rave I was in a group on Mumsnet with women who all had babies in the same quarter. I told them about it and one of them asked to help. Natasha has now been my right hand woman for nine years.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it - see you on the dancefloor!

This is so lovely :D

I really hope I get to take my son to this one day, his dad and I used to love a stomp back in the day :D
