I am just reading this with my Victorian nightdress in hand. It’s from ‘Cotton Lane’ and is beautifully made — a rare thing in this day and age — and I recommend them. You can buy them on Amazon uk too.

I've been on eBay and now I'm quite torn between wraith-like haunted wench and full-blown 80s femme fatale (though the latter would possibly involve lipo and a boob job so could get a tad expensive). I can do both.. right?

I actually saw some white nighties in TK maxx today and they looked so comfy and classic yet stylish

Another vote for Cologne and Cotton - gorgeous shops.
Lunn Antiques and Bonsoir of London do lots of white cotton nighties, and some warmer jersey ones. Worth browsing all Lunn’s photos categories, including vintage.
