What's your thoughts

OP posts:
RightOnTheEdge · 19/02/2022 16:19

I used to love their stuff but haven't bought anything for a few years now because of their politics. It's also got really expensive and I've got poorer.
I do miss some things though.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 19/02/2022 16:20

@kylie122 why? What are your thoughts?

Classicblunder · 19/02/2022 16:24

I really like their moisturiser and cleanser. Those are not ove scented at all

LadyLolaRuben · 19/02/2022 16:30

Was gifted a black bath bomb. Took weeks to get the black marks off my bath. Never again.
PP summed them up perfectly - over scented and underwhelming.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 19/02/2022 16:33

I used to love it. Went in recently with DD and was shocked at how expensive it's become! Not a fan of paying £12+ for a shower gel.

GrimDamnFanjo · 19/02/2022 16:38

I'm not their target market and no longer shop there for political reasons.

lallywrighty · 19/02/2022 16:45

I used to really like Lush but haven't shopped there in a long long time (10+ years). Sorry if I'm being really stupid but can someone tell me what is Lush's stances on women/safeguarding children? I tried to Google it but only their adverts came up!

Also interested too.

I was going to ask the same!
SilverHairedCat · 19/02/2022 16:55

Miss some of their products, but won't touch any of it now. Their politics are appalling, the staff are badly treated, I hate how pushy and desperate the sales pitches are, and the chest binding was an absolutely shocking addition to their abysmal wannabe-wokeism.

Geranium1984 · 19/02/2022 17:00

I can't even go near the stores they smell so strong. Makes my eyes water. Not sure it'd be any good for skin?!

JellybabyGina87 · 19/02/2022 17:08

Expensive for what it is, although I do like the products. I find going in the shop intimidating. Staff jump on you as soon as you walk in. There is a huge Lush shop in my city and they have weird displays all over the shop, bath bombs on conveyor belts moving round and I don't know if you're just meant to take them off or what as they have staff loitering around, staring at you.

Susu49 · 19/02/2022 17:11

Some of their older, long term best selling products are brilliant but I can't be dealing with the overscented and too-small-to-swing-a-cat shops to bother trying anything else

Suzi888 · 19/02/2022 17:13

I don’t mind the odd bath bomb and massage bar at Christmas.

Guiltypleasures001 · 19/02/2022 17:17

Ooo cosmetics to go ..peanut butter body scrub used to love their original stuff

PolkaSpace · 19/02/2022 17:17

Is this like a focus group? Too smelly too pushy and I keep reading things on here about how they don't like women but don't know about it but it puts me odd.

MalloryMal · 19/02/2022 17:17

I don’t like the way they make their staff behave. I don’t like most of their products (eg bath bombs with so much colouring they dye peoples hair or baths!) and I don’t like their morals.

KittenKong · 19/02/2022 17:19

@jeaux90

I don't buy from them since they started encouraging chest binding.
I boycotted them before that but this would have definitely tipped me over the edge if I hadn’t.

The bath bombs dye your bath and child blue. Glitter gets stuck in your unmentionables, and the stuff that they forage from the bins and ads to the bath bombs gets stuck in the plug hole (not an euphemism).

MrPanks · 19/02/2022 18:20

Lush lost my custom when it started promoting one of its stores as a 'safe house' for girls to collect chest binders. They will never get another penny out of me.

KylieCharlene · 19/02/2022 18:27

I love the Rose Jam and I admit I'm a huge fan of their bath bombs glitter and all!
I may have been living under a rock somewhere as I've no idea about their politics but I will take a look.
I don't have a Lush anywhere near me so I'm not a regular shopper and prefer to buy in-store rather than online.

Motnight · 19/02/2022 18:36

Loved them as Cosmetics to Go.

Refuse now to shop in a place so obviously anti women.

Gingerkittykat · 19/02/2022 18:36

@TheChosenTwo

I love the sleepy bubble bar and cream. I’ve liked loads from there in the past but they are my current favourites.
Johnson's baby nighttime range is pretty much identical and a fraction of the price.

I used to love Lush but feel they have upped the price without upping the quality a lot over the past couple of years. The have also discontinued Karma Kreme and Karma solid perfume which were my main reason to go there.

The shower jellies are great though and a tub lasts for ages.

SpaghettiArmsMurderer · 19/02/2022 18:43

I have been using their shampoo bars but I'm starting the curly girl method and they have sulfates so I guess I will look for something else when I've used the current one up. I also only order online as I hate being bothered by staff in store.

DonNotKeith · 19/02/2022 19:11

Nah, anti woman and children. Chest binding for teens and selling staff kisses. Not for me
