Ive always had greasy hair but since having the dcs its gone out of control, I have tried countless shampoos that don?t work (hairdresser told me to stop using conditioner) at the moment im using herbal essence which sort of works but I have to wash my hair in the morning which is a bit of a PITA cos I have to get up before dc (they get up at 6!) if I wash it before going to bed its greasy by morning. any tips would be greatly appreciated!

TIA

I used to use herbal essences (cause it was £1 a bottle at my chemist), but have now switched back to pantene (not the clear one - clarifying or something its called. its really pants, as is ice shine - classic care or smooth and sleek are best)

I wash it at night and put a little conditioner on just the ends.

i tried the clear pantene early last year made no difference but will try the other one thanks. i used to put conditioner on the ends untill hairdresser told me not to but i think i will start using it again!

Mine changed after having DS - my hairdresser recommends using dry shampoo in between - I like Lee Stafford one

L'oreal Nutrigloss for greasy hair is quite good

Do you need to wash it everyday? It could be that you are overwashing and your hair is overproducing oil. Try washing every other day for a fortnight and see if it makes any difference.

What about baby shampoo?

I have greasy hair. I wash it every morning. If i did it the night before I'd feel gross. I just use Alberto Balsam tea tree shampoo and conditioner in the ends.

It's not perfectly styled but it's clean every day

I've had the same problem and was worsening things by using a moisture rich shampoo every day. Hairdresser recommended this . On his advice I don't use it every day - he said it can make the scalp a bit dry and itchy - but I alternate with the moisture kick shampoo in the same range (dry ends) and can comfortably wash my hair alternate days now - sometimes even leave 3 days (but day 3 would have to be a stay at home day!). Might be worth a shot. HTH

Thanks for all the advice everyone I will be trying out some new shampoos this week

sophierosie- I don?t wash it every day I try and only wash it every other day the only times I wash it every day are when im going out somewhere and I don?t want it to look horrible! I can usually get away with putting it up the next day but im really self conscious about it.

try selsun shampoo it's available from a pharmacy, it is an oil inhibitor you only use it once a week. It has helped my hair when it's gone through mad stages. It i designed as an anti dandruff shampoo but my hairdresser recommended it and it worked for me.
