Any stylish plus size ladies want to help me come up with an outfit?

Hi All,

I am going to a My Checmical Romance (rock/alternative/emo band) concert in May and need help putting an outfit together! I'm not the best at it and really want to look good and not frumpy. I don't have a particular style and have kind of lost my way a bit.

I'm 27 and size 24/26 more towards a 26 and I'm 5ft 7. It's a standing concert indoors so nothing too hot. I carry a good bit of weight on my stomach and have a hanging b belly that I prefer to cover as much as is possible.

I'm happy to buy everything new if I don't have it.

Anyone want to help?

As you are young, you might find something nice at Never Fully Dressed. They have gorgeous dresses and shirts, some in blackSmile

I say "as you are young" because sadly I'm not, and short dresses no longer look nice on me. They probably do on you though.

@delphiniumblue thanks for the suggestion! I've heard of them but never had a look.

I’m quite a bit older than you but same height and size. I got a black dress with flutted sleeves from Ruby and Daisy recently that I team with a leather jacket and doc boots for concerts.

Little Lies has some great rock chick outfits but not as much choice in the larger sizes at the moment. You could have a look for inspiration though. Most gigs I go to I wear band t-shirts with jeans plus a jacket and/or scarf, but I usually like the jacket to be able to tie round my waist if things get hot, so nothing too thick. Checked shirt instead of jacket is also an option, one of the nice things about rock music gigs is you can wear what you like and no one bats an eyelid!
EMP is good for band merch.

I'd wear black t shirt (probably sweaty) with a check shirt tied round my waist

Break your boots/trainers in beforehand!

Agree with others - band T-shirt, black jeggings (or leather look jeggings) and I'd add a jersey biker jacket as that will be less hot and sweaty than leather.

Get some cool boots and accessories (bag/scarf/jewellery).

I'm also going to one of the mcr concerts in may. Honestly for standing you're going to want more comfort over style. I usually wear high waisted shorts, with converse/vans or docs, and a loose fitting top (either band tee or just basic top) then I take a hoody to wrap around my waist. You don't want anything that's going to cling to you on top, as you will likely get sweaty and beers thrown on you.

avoid black, it only makes you look even more solid,

Avoid Never adult Dressed OP. I'm a 16 and really struggle with sizing and proportions of their clothing. If you're not a 6ft svelte size 8 their dresses look a bit odd.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestion all!

That should say Never Fully Dressed sorry!

Agee with this awhile they go to a 24-26 I think the proportions are off. I've ordered a few things before (20-22 - also big belly) everything gets sent back. They also don't give a full refund they keep a few quid so it's annoying
