Blonde with a lot of roots - home dye?

I have an EBF 9 week old and a 20 month old, my hair is always up and going to the hairdressers is just not an option for me at the minute! I haven’t had my hair done since September and my roots are obviously growing more and more and are starting to annoy me with it being up a lot I hardly see the blonde! (Photo included but may not be the best lighting to show fully)

I don’t want to go brown because I always regret that but I’ve always wanted to try an auburn/ginger type dye but not bright orange, a more natural look! But with my hair being basically two different colours I’m not really sure what’s best to do a home dye. Has anyone got suggestions for a dye they liked or the type of dye my hair would need or advice or if I should just completely avoid and deal with my current mess! Confused

I should probably say more a copper/auburn than orange or ginger!

I actually think it looks good op from that pic; almost like balayage (sorry probably not that helpful)

I agree it looks lush as it is, soon enough the sun will begin lightening up your roots :)

I wouldn't attempt to home dye, the ends will go a very different colour to your roots.

I agree it looks like balayage

Not really answering your question but get a mobile hairdresser to come to your house

Shrine do toner drops - you could try the caramel with a few drops of peach - they wash out so not permanent (just add to conditioner)

@StrongSunglasses @chillydownwiththefiregang @SquareNotCircle
Thank you I did think when I got the photo it actually looked okay haha. But it’s when it’s up that’s when I don’t like it as it looks like all roots and I have to wear it up a lot now with the kids! I agree though a dye likely won’t work on it now.

@timeforteaforyouandme oh I hadn’t thought about that, maybe an option thank you.

@Fate32 I had seen those but wasn’t sure it would work but may be an option for now thanks!
