Psoriasis nails discolouration - would you get a manicure or pedicure at a salon?

Feel so embarrassed posting this! I’m just over 32 weeks pregnant. My friend would like to take me for a pamper day but due to being off my medication due to pregnancy, I have a couple of nails that are a a bit discoloured. I’m scared the beautician will refuse to serve me. I would die of embarrassment.

I have no other obvious signs of psoriasis on my hands and feet, just some nail discolouration. I wouldn’t be getting extensions or anything, just a basic manicure and pedicure! Has any one else done this and it’s been fine?

I have psoriasis and two of my toe nails are discoloured. I visit a beautician and she’s given me pedicures since before it happened and I just mentioned to her that it was psoriasis and not a fungal infection or anything catching.

I think the therapist will have seen much more concerning conditions than this

Just let them know it's not an infection and enjoy your treatment

My therapist tells me people come in for all sorts of treatment that haven't even washed never mind anything else
