Help me take the boring out of a cream silk shirt !

I have an afternoon date tomorrow meeting old friends that may extend to early evening .
I have a beautiful cream satin shirt that I want to wear with black jeans and heeled boots. It seems rather drab.... how could I add a pop of colour to this .
Have a selection of either black/baby blue/ camel or cream wool longline coats if they would break to monotone look. Any suggestions please?

Thanks so much! I'm a size 14 apple shape so I find that belts only highlight my big belly but I love the sound of teal.

Red lipstick?

Was thinking of a little bit of red stain on my lips. I do like it and it is said it suits me as I've very dark hair and my skin is a light olive so maybe I'll push myself because I'm don't know if I'd beconfident enough

Big brooch on the coat lapel - I find one can be a bit more OTT with a brooch on a coat as you usually take the coat off indoors - so it makes an impact on first meeting and then fades away a bit.

Lip stain ? Something subtle.in my more confident days I used to wear Rimmel x kate Moss in no.1 a deep blue/ red colour but far too Ott for an afternoon date I think 🤔 love all the suggestions btw

Hi OP, I have a similar outfit to wear soon and I’m planning on wearing a bright bodysuit underneath for a pop of colour (it’s this on and it’s bright neon orange!).

My shirt is white though so depending on how cream yours is you could wear something underneath it that peeps through maybe?

Or keep it ‘monochrome’ but take a bright cross body bag and wear some colourful earrings?
