Running- Are sweaty Betty leggings worth the ££

Just that really. And so they have a drawstring waist? So they stay up? Are they comfy? I’d get plenty of wear out of the right pair of leggings but don’t want to waste £80 if they’re not quite right.

I get on really well with these. Really comfy and stay put.

I wear Nike capris in summer but always H&M winter leggings.

Love my SB power leggings for running. The phone pocket is really secure and they stay up perfectly round the waist.

GreyTS · 09/02/2022 22:29

I don't like them, and I so wanted to, when I put them on they look great, really flattering on my skinny ass, but no matter how much I tighten them they slide off.....but almost everything does on me, so if you have curvier legs and bum I'd say they'll be great, but definitely size down, they are big

Sugarcube84 · 09/02/2022 22:33

I like my fabletics ones better, they are thicker and have a wider waistband so smooth rather than digging in

JoanDarc · 09/02/2022 22:44

I’m a SB fan and live in their clothes for casual, gym, WFH. The super sculpts are my favourite, nice thick fabric, suits my shape but definitely can’t wear them running as too warm/ move too much. I’ve got a pair of zero gravity’s which is the SB specific running leggings and they’re very lightweight, still prefer my Nikes though for running.
Be aware with all SB, all leggings are not made equal, i still can’t get on with the power leggings (ordered another pair to try today) they’re fitted on my bum/tummy but baggy around my knees. Is maybe worthwhile ordering a few styles.

I have three pairs that I wear for yoga, pilates and body pump, plus the odd run. They are very comfortable, look good, wash well and never fall down or expose my lower back or tummy. In yoga and pilates some of the bending makes cheaper brands a bit risky. If you combine with a SB "athlete" vest, which never rides up, you are very safe indeed from wardrobe malfunction.

IMONTHETOILET · 10/02/2022 10:12

Zero Gravity ones are amazing. No other brand I've tried come close. I always buy in the sale. I find they come up a little on the large size. Power leggings are great too but ZG are definitely my preferred ones.

eurochick · 10/02/2022 11:09

I wanted to like them but the fit was terrible on me - my usual size gaped at the waist. I expect sizing down would have meant they were too tight. Ronhill and Under Armour fit me well.

LoisLane23 · 10/02/2022 20:23

For me absolutely hands down yes, I do a whole range of sports, running (circa 10km), hiit, yoga , I never 'hang about' in them but I love them, zero gravity and power 7/8 but I'm only 5 foot. I wash them endlessly and they look box fresh. Interesting reading the above as I'm very curvy, heavy thighs but muscly so I wonder if they fall down if wrong size or on skinnier folk? I hate the high waisted, they fold over and are just way too high for my frame. Usually so much of SB stuff is way over priced and surplus.. Rain jackets, fancy cropped tops, you couldn't work out in any of them. But the leggings are pure gold. I own 6 pairs and all sale or discount day buys too.

Gonnagetgoing · 10/02/2022 20:30

I’d love to say I love mine but my H&M sports ones are fine! And they’re just for running and working out.

randomsabreuse · 10/02/2022 21:22

I'm also curvy with muscular thighs so I'd imagine that the cut might not suit the stereotypical serious distance runner build if it fits me.

itwasntaparty · 10/02/2022 21:25

For actual running I like my drawstring decathlon's- for wearing all day SB or fabletics.

I have the SB powers and they are as good as most people say. They stay up for running, have a decent phone pocket on the leg and a small rear zipped pocket. They wash well and dry quickly. The prints are nice if you want bright, if not they do plain colors.

I had lots of other brands over the years and I'd say my best pairs (that have lasted) are Powers and one pair from Lululemon that they no longer make so I save them for yoga now I case they get torn on a run.

I haven't ever paid full price for SB, you can find codes or join the FB group PLAN where lots of people sell SB stuff.

Vicliz24 · 11/02/2022 01:08

I'm not convinced they are worth the £££ my one pair shrank in their first wash and now are short . My go to for running leggings is M&S. theirs are fabulous.

@Dailywalk
I got Treatyourself20 a code this morning , if you needed one ? Might work !
