Annoying spots on crease of nose and chin cleft!

I’ve always tended towards combination skin but I’m almost 40 now and my nose and chin (and forehead) have gone very oily.

I keep getting painful and unsightly whiteheads where my the side of nose meets my face (if that makes sense!) and in the crease of my chin.

Why?!! And what to do??!! I’m sick of waking up with them, and also them developing through the working day!

Religious use of salyclic acid (any 2% formulation) helps me with the identical problem. Use light but nourishing moisturiser for face (I am on the inkey bauchkiol) plus separate richer eye cream or neck cream if needed (I do!). Cleanser I use nip and fab pads or miceller water and cotton wool but do rinse either off.

Not an acid nip and fab pad though, too much acid!

Clean and clear blackhead clearing cleanser was the only thing that worked for me. And I had to stop putting moisturiser in that area too.

Thanks @GeneLovesJezebel - daft question but did it solve a whitehead problem (as well as blackheads - which are there but less of an issue!)

It wasn’t a blackhead problem.
I keep getting these really painful little red spots on the end of my nose, it seemed to be worse if I moisturised, but I’d get them anyway.
I asked on here but got nothing, so pinched this off my DS to try. Every day I moisturise my face but not my nose, then put this on, and it’s worked for me. I splash it on and leave to dry.
But if I ever accidentally put moisturiser or face oil on my nose I get spots almost immediately.
