I used the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation for years and absolutely loved it. I managed to get a couple of extra bottles before Bourjois disappeared from the UK and I've finally got to the end of the last one Sad

Does anyone know of a similar (not Chanel-priced) one I could try? Or anywhere I can still get it here? I've seen a couple of sellers on amazon but at such a cheap price I can't imagine it's the real stuff.

I have replaced mine with Maybelline Dream Satin foundation (although I think it might have recently changed its name slightly). I think it's just as good.

I’ve got one of the blusher pots from circa 1995. I can’t throw it away. It reminds me of good times. I may still occasionally use it. Blush

SapphireSeptember · 05/02/2022 21:38

@DobbyTheHouseElk A baked powder like that will last years, I wouldn't worry too much. Smile

Newbabynewhouse · 05/02/2022 21:48

Awww i remember that! Such a lovely smell!

Can't think of any that feel as light as tnis one... erm.. i think maybeline fit me may be your best bet?

Babyvenusplant · 05/02/2022 21:59

I love their blush pots, I ordered one from amazon last week and it does seem to be the real thing. It has the exact same lovely smell as the original ones did

@MyloC use this website findation.com/

I was a 52 in Bourjois and am a Calico in no7. This website matches those two up, so I think you’d have good luck with finding 53

I live right by the Bourjois factory and know they still sell it in France, all that seems to find out if it here is Chanel vans.

So, if you have loads of money I would try Chanel foundation (probably Vitalumiere, not Aqua)

Or, day trip to France (plenty of other things to stock up on whilst you're there)

PAFMO · 06/02/2022 07:40

Of course it's the real stuff. It was only ever a tenner at most anyway.
Last time I looked for Bourjois products, Amazon, Look Fantastic, Allbeauty and almost every other online discount retailer was still selling it.

Cheekypeach · 06/02/2022 07:41

What?? Bourjois is gone?????

LadyEloise1 · 06/02/2022 09:52

@LefttoherownDevizes
In what country is the Bourjois factory ?

LefttoherownDevizes · 06/02/2022 10:03

Croydon Grin

LefttoherownDevizes · 06/02/2022 10:03

Off the Purley Way no less

LefttoherownDevizes · 06/02/2022 10:06

Only ever Chanel vans coming and going though

I miss my Bourjois foundation *sob*
LefttoherownDevizes · 06/02/2022 10:08

In fact if you look on Google Street view you can see a Chanel van in the loading bay

PAFMO · 06/02/2022 10:26

I've just ordered some things from Notino and the Healthy Mix foundation is about £6

TheBitterBoy · 06/02/2022 10:26

Bourjois is still available everywhere else, they have only withdrawn from UK and Ireland. They say its was due to falling sales, but I've seen articles saying it was partly due to Superdrug's inclusive shade policy of only stocking makeup ranges that offer a minimum of 20 foundation shades. Bourjois is notoriously 'white' and while other brands have expanded their ranges they did not.
Anyway I've swapped to Maybelline Dream Radiant liquid. I was a 52/53 in healthy mix and am No1 Natural Ivory in Maybelline, if that helps anyone. Similar price to Healthy Mix too.

LadyEloise1 · 06/02/2022 10:28

Chanel and Bourjois are made in Croydon ShockShockShock
So not some fancy place in France then !!!

Why did they decide not to sell their products in the UK and Ireland ?
Daft decision Sad
