Bubble bath recommendations?

Hullo, have recently moved into a new house with an actual bath and as it's my birthday soon I'd like to ask for some posh bubble baths/soaks. I've not got much experience with this as I've lived in a shower only house for a decade. Please can I have your luxury bath product recommendations?

One thing - must not contain woody or overly flowery scents. I tend to get sucky headaches with the traditional white musk type fragrances. I really like orange, lemon, citrus or herb type smells. Can cope with lavender if it's not too overpowering.

Thank you!

Soapsmith Lavender Hill bath soak is lovely.

I would not say no to anything from Neal's Yard or L'Occitane.

LizzieMacQueen · 02/02/2022 22:56

This is nice. Neal's Yard.

Korres bubble baths are lovely - the Santorini vine one is a nice citrus one.

hivemindneeded · 02/02/2022 23:03

Neal's Yard Geranium and Lavender is gorgeous.
So is Origins Ginger Soufflé.
L'Occitane lemon verbena is very light and citrussy.

For a more everyday price, Faith in Nature bubble baths are fantastic and only a fiver.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 02/02/2022 23:05

I like cheap bubble bath (more bubbles) and expensive bath oil. So possibly useless to you, but my favourites are Imperial Leather Marshmallow (about £1) and Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax (about a million pounds).

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 02/02/2022 23:08

I like the Sanctuary bubble bath and bath float…at about £8 a bottle though I was always a bit mean with it, to make it last, but recently discovered Aldi do an amazing dupe of them both, so pour the stuff in with gay abandon now! Really recommend 😊

ihaveonecat · 02/02/2022 23:58

Olverum bath oil. It's not cheap, and it's very pine/herbal but you don't need much at all
It's the absolute best if you are cold/sniffly/feeling shit and I adore it

Wild and wood do nice stuff too

I also buy big tubs of magnesium flakes off Amazon and throw them in with anything else I have to hand!

ihaveonecat · 02/02/2022 23:59

Link to the bath milks and description, I add these to the cheap magnesium flakes in the bath to make them last longer

Oh I have some more Blush I'm a product junkie who loves the bath!

Weleda citrus bath milk (they do loads of other scents)
c.o bigelow herbal comfort soak
Mio liquid yoga (literally does what it says!)
Elemis aching muscles
kniepp salts/soaks, loads to pick from

Soak Sunday

Neals yard arnica one is amazing

ChickenStripper · 03/02/2022 00:46

For budget range M and S Apothecary range or Ren Moroccan Rose Oil.

I got a bottle of Badedas and my god it's relaxing. It's not what I'd pick for myself as I like similar to you but it's just all enveloping.

I also like a bit of Sanctuary and also Dove for everyday.

Back in my pre kids disposable wages days I used to adore Laura Mercier tart au citron but I think may be discontinued now.

Scoose · 03/02/2022 08:07

I love origins ginger float (the soufflé a pp mentioned is body butter not bubble bath)
Laura mercier ambre vanille honey bath is to die for

BeaLola · 03/02/2022 08:10

Aromatherapy Associates bath oils - especially Deep Relax

Korres

Chanel No 5

Badedas - when I'm feeling under the weather

I used to love the bubbles/foam but now love the oils more

Jo Malone pomegranate noir in winter
In summer used to use French Lime Blossom

throwawayafteruse · 03/02/2022 08:25

Thank you everybody, busy looking these all up and adding to various wish lists.

Soapsmith's Camden Town bath soak is gorgeous. Fortunately smells nothing like Camden Town!

You can also find lots of lovely bath soaks and salts in your local TK Maxx. The Australian brands are particularly good. I prefer them to bubble bath as I don't need to rinse off afterwards.

sofakingcool · 03/02/2022 08:34

M&S have some really nice ones, a while ago I bought myself a citron one, came in a lovely glass bottle with a ceramic heart hanging around the neck so it looked nice in the bathroom too!

I really like bath salts, Aldi recently had big bags of west lab salts, all different scents, for only a couple of pounds

throwawayafteruse · 03/02/2022 19:22

Thank you all. I've added most of these to my wish list. I'm very excited to have a luxury bath. It's been a long time!

I love Neals Yard but not now it’s an MLM. Otherwise Sanctuary feels very luxurious for the price

GuyFawkesDay · 03/02/2022 19:29

The Aldi Sanctuary Spa dupe is so good for the price! I'm very impressed.

The Waitrose own Clementine and Ginger is lovely too and very cheap. I love their chamomile one, very gentle 'clean' smell and not flowery.

It's not is it?!? I live the next town over from their headquarters and have been looking at project manager vacancies with them! Not working for them if they are an MLM!!

@throwawayafteruse sadly it is. MIL keeps trying to get me to attend pamper nights hosted by her friend who sells it.

TunnelOfGoats · 03/02/2022 19:41

I really like the Neom ones, and there are a few to choose from. Also for everyday baths, the Sanex Biomeprotect moisturising bubble bath is really nice
