Which shoes to wear with straight leg jeans

I’m sick of skinny jeans, they’re starting to feel uncomfortable, so I’ve bought some straight leg jeans. I usually wear boots with skinny jeans tucked in but this looks ridiculous with baggier jeans. So what shoes will look right? I really am clueless!

Oh I’d like to know this too

High top converse? Chelsea boots?

Bit late to reply @Nosetickle but I know what you mean with skinny jeans, I'm sure all of mine have shrunk in the wash too ;-)

So to make my straight jeans work I have to turn up the bottoms 2/3 times. Not large turns up, just small ones. I then find the jeans look better with trainers & some boots. I think the trick is leaving a small gap between top of the boot & the bottom of the jean so you see ankle/leg. Well, that's the only way it works for me.
There is a way to turn up the jeans to create a more tucked in turn up, rather than a big turn up flapping around. You nip in both sides of the jean, on the seams, then turn up. Well done if you understand that, because I have not explained it well!

My dds wear baggy jeans with trainers, converse or ugg shoes.

I wear western boots (think that’s what they are called)

I do the turn up thing but without the bare leg as it’s winter! However, most women I know still wear skinnies because they are just so damned practical in winter with boots

Turn them up so they sit just above the cuff of the boots. I think you need to turn them up above your ankles whatever you do, they still look a bit dad-like if you have them full length.

I turn up too. And then either wear them with trainers or DM-style boots. With boots, I turn them up a little bit more than with trainers so that they sit at the top of them.

Can't go wrong with boots this time of year.
I have been known to wear them with pumps also

I turn them up once and wear vintage cowboy boots or I wear my silver glittery, sparkle DM's that go with anything (or go with nothing according to my son who claims they scare his dog with the iridescence ).
