Really fed up - went online to order 2 pairs of the Sophia jeans and they are not on the website! I’ve been wearing them since they introduced them. They are very comfortable and they suit me. Can anyone suggest an alternative please?

What now? I live in those jeans.

MitheredAndFrazzled · 27/01/2022 14:42

It's very annoying that they can't keep any design for more than about two years. I loved the Carrie ones until they started selling them with undone hems and distressed bits.

I have Ivy now, but they're an inch shorter from the waistband to the groin so don't fit me as well.

lindyloo57 · 27/01/2022 15:38

I ordered a pair last week andthey had loads in norwich store

lindyloo57 · 27/01/2022 15:40

sorry it was sienna jeans.

fuzzwuss · 27/01/2022 15:42

No!!! I loved Sophia. What is Sienna like?

RonCarlos · 27/01/2022 15:44

How annoying! I have a pair of Sienna's. They had masses of good reviews

louloulemons · 27/01/2022 16:00

As soon as I saw the title I knew it would be about the Sophia jeans! I love them too, I’m wearing them now. Luckily I ordered 4 pairs when I was going away last year but no idea what I’ll do when they start wearing out. They are the only ones I’ve found that fit properly and are decent quality.

lindyloo57 · 27/01/2022 16:47

The sienna's are like a skinnie but loose on the leg, whats the Sophia like.

mynameiscalypso · 27/01/2022 16:47

Sophia's are straight aren't they? I just bought two pairs of ASDA Skye straight jeans and they're my new favourite jeans. I have some Sienna's and much prefer the ASDA ones.

actiongirl1978 · 27/01/2022 16:50

I sympathise. I love the Harper jeans in grey - but that colour has disappeared now.

Agree that they should be obliged to keep selling the same (quality controlled to stop random sizing) basics at all times - including pale grey jeans as that's what suits me!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 27/01/2022 16:58

I went to m&s a few days ago and had a massive trying on sesh of all jeans. I am a curvy pear 5.6. My faves were Sienna Supersoft. Really flattering. Mid high rise.

Length was hard to decide. The regular made me look like I had legs for days. My inside leg is 29 to ankle. The long would have been too long. The short came to my ankle and great with trainers, also could be rolled up a little. The regular were better straight, unless you rolled up a lot like a drainpipe for paddling in sea! Not quite my style as it shortens the leg. I think I need both.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 27/01/2022 16:59

I agree it is so hard to buy online, I could be an 8,10,12,14 in short, regular or long! Who knows.

I went into the local M&S branch today and was told the Sophia Jeans were discontinued but I might find some on the website. I tried their and they said they were "No Longer Available" I lov those jeans so I thought I would contact Customer Services to complain! Well you'll be pleased to know that they are NOT discontinued but should be back in stock in two weeks. *Breathing a sigh of relief!

meloncolic · 31/03/2022 15:42

Oh phew! Also chiming in for the ‘most comfy jeans’ praise.

NotEnoughTeaYet · 31/03/2022 15:49

A cynic might wonder if someone in the M&S marketing dept is savvy enough to let a popular item 'be discontinued', wait for the inevitable wails and gnashing of teeth, then graciously announce that it has 'listened to the customers' and brought it back. Hmm

Mumsnut · 31/03/2022 15:56

Bet that means they are having them made by a new supplier. In which case, be prepared for them to have nose-dived in quality and fit.

yes. Very much this.
DeeDiddlyDee · 31/03/2022 16:12

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that they are the same. The thought of trying to find a different comfy pair of jeans doesn't bear thinking about!

Williamshatnershorses · 31/03/2022 16:16

I got the Magic shaping straight leg jeans as there were no Sophia’s and they are my new fave. No muffin top! Really good. I did have to go up a size (14 to 16) but they look so much better at the waist.

noodlezoodle · 31/03/2022 16:30

I loved them too! I bought some Siennas and they are very similar.

Lindisfarne1 · 31/03/2022 16:31

I weat the Sienna's fairly high on waist which I like, straight cut but not baggy at all. I'm tall 5'11 the long is perfect

MaChienEstUnDick · 31/03/2022 16:36

Ah no, I was in looking for them a couple of days ago!!

Westfacing · 31/03/2022 16:41

Sienna are good quality but 'short' are now 2" too long!

Charlieandlola · 31/03/2022 16:41

I’ve just discovered Sienna jeans which are great for plus size 22/24 . Really comfortable

UnconditionalSurrender · 31/03/2022 16:43

I noticed this January and was massively pissed off as they were great jeans. Tried the Sienna but they weren't the same at all. Silly M & S.
