Anyone know anything about Kibbe or have any luck with it? I had a style consult that was based around Kibbe types and got a printout with various characteristics as well as clothing styles that suit me. It's funny, on one hand it's a bit like astrology but otoh it was remarkably helpful in explaining why I prefer certain qualities in clothes and why others don't work for me.

I now know enough to confuse me Confused and not enough to be illuminating. Does anyone use it as anything but the most broad guideline?

Thanks @Artichokeleaves and actually the more I look at it the more it makes sense. I look good in high waisted trousers interesting as I'd never come across it before it's certainly helped me to realise why full midi skirts aren't working on me look at the difference when I gather the back of this skirt in.

Thanks OP this might help me make more considered purchases!

Goodness yes! Love the shape of the gathered skirt, changes your whole shape.

The contrast is pretty stark. I'd be interested if other shapes have similar results. I suspect they do.

Having done a bit more reading, I think - think - I'm a Soft Dramatic.

I took the quiz - I was inbetween soft dramatic and dramatic classic - it was reaaly strange as out of all tge categories, those two were the only looks I was drawn too. I dress like a soft dramatic - love a cowl satin drape top, structured trousers, satin wrap skirts with no fussy prints.
I've been frustrated with the "in" look for a few years now - all those fussy tiered, floral big skirts and dresses look ridiculous on me! Does fashion expect us all to be romantics or flamboyants?!

@Sickoffamilydrama
You look fab in it pulled back - you should look at tulip skirts - similar shape.
