purple boots (long, dark purple leather, pointy toe, kitten heel) - gorgeous - and now I need a skirt to wear with them. The challenge is ... I'm pregnant so it's off to maternity websites we go. Any suggestions please. Can't find link to boots online but they're fairly dressy although I'd like to team with skirt that I can wear around during the day. So, tailored, stretchy jersey fabric (ie Isabel Oliver) or what? Please help ... I went out for black boots and this is so unlike me but they're fab now I need to show them off!

how about an A line skirt like this, fairly casual so could be an everyday skirt.

here

That looks nice ggirl - thanks. I've awful legs (really) but think that knee length/short is probably better than long, especially with boots. The jersey fabric ... okay I guess if IO are selling everything in it, so long as it doesn't look 'daggy' as they say in Australia!

Any other suggestions folks ... am in the mood to keep shopping tonight!

Vertbaudet.co.uk maternity collection is generally pretty good

The IO wrap/ruffle skirt.
IMO this is the nicest skirt they do, I bought one when pregnant and have been unable to part with it since giving birth as its so gorgeous! (Have sold all my other IO clothes on ebay.)
It is very flattering, comfy, not too short and is ideal for after you give birth as its stretchy and hides post baby jelly belly.

Formes have some lovely stuff and there's 30% off some items in the sale at the moment. (A friend of mine who was carrying twins wore a Formes outfit to a party we held and she was easily the most stylish woman in the room.)

Thanks ladies ... am leaning towards something from Isabella Oliver. Think the ruffle skirt is lovely but a tad too dressy for me. Like the one ggirl suggested or else this but the sensible voice inside tells me that at 40 I'm too old for a mini!!

Have a couple of bits from Formes PatsyCline but don't really like their skirts. They have gorgeous tops and am tempted there!

Millie1 have to say the IO ruffle skirt is not that dressy as its made from viscose jersey. I wore it most in the day with summer tops and flip flops (DS2 born in May).
Their A line skirt is also lovely and v flattering too.
Def worth getting something in their sale as the prices are usually a bit OTT.

Hi Pannacotta ... I'm going to order the a-line skirt, the ruffle skirt & a wrap dress and try all on. As you say, their reductions are pretty good ... and the only way I'll find out what suits is to have a trying on session!! All being well, these babies will be delivered in May so it's good to know that I'd be able to wear their skirts into the early summer. Thanks!

Good for you millie, I love their things!
Can I recommend the ruffle wrap dress too? I had that and the plain wrap dress and while both were lovely I thought the ruffle one was extra special, v glam for evenings out...
Remember you can sell them all on (on ebay) for good money, so it makes it much more affordable.

Thanks Pannacotta ... I'm doubly thrilled this morning cos I ordered black bootleg trousers from Seraphine yesterday and they arrived today - a perfect fit in all but length so I just need to do an exchange for longer pair
