I absolutely love swimming.
For christmas dh has bought me a years membership at a new health club and i`m really excited.
I swim regularly at the local pool in my threadbare black swimmy with goggles and hat !
Nobody knows me from Adam
Now everyone will know me as this is as much of a pose as a swim and i would really love to have the confidence to sit at the side of the pool with everyone else and read my book without having my g cups on my lap.
Can anyone really recommend a good support swimsuit or tankini.
I want to look nice as well as swim this time and would welcome any suggestions from any ladies who are as top heavy as myself.
Thanks x

Bravissimo do sized swimmies/bikini's - your underbust is in proportion to you hips and waist so you should have a decent choice

Heathcliffscathy · 27/12/2007 22:10

freya are excellent.....look on figleaves.com

fishie · 27/12/2007 22:10

go to bravissimo.

or get speedo sculpture, they are nice and solid but still proper swimwear.

fakeblonde · 27/12/2007 22:13

I have some freya bras so thanks sophable i will try their website.
Bravissimo - very pricey ive heard but my friend keeps saying shell take me so maybe afyer next pay day !
Speedo sculture-like the sound of that so will google it
Cheers everyone.

I would like to sing the praises of spending a fortune on your swimming costume. I had always been the sort of person to tsk at having to spend more than £12 on something as boring as a swimming costume, then my MIL went out and bought me a superb Lejaby cozzie. Oh my god! It probably cost more than I spend on food for the week but it is a thing of wonder and beauty. It does marvellous things for my figure. It is a joy.

Another Bravissimo vote here though check out brastop.com first as they often have bra sized swimsuits cheaper

Brastop are really good

They stock all the same stuff as bravissimo, but cheaper

ahundredtimes · 27/12/2007 23:37

Who is complimenting you on your swimwear? Life guards? I'd be terrified if someone remarked on my swimming costume. I might hit them in a moment of panic or something.

HappyChristmasWalrusIsOver · 27/12/2007 23:38

I got this one for my hols

I looked ok, and I am a fat cow with a belly like Eric Bristow's

I've got a freya one, which holds the norks up ,but the annoying thing is I can't put it in the spinny thing in the changing room cos it ruins the underwired bit.

Just thought I'd warn you about this little annoyance

Gawd. I'd push them in the pool.

i was going to report

ahundredtimes · 27/12/2007 23:41

Yes. That's why I'm discussing swimwear etiquette, and I have given advice on moving to Sweden this evening too. I know nothing about moving or Sweden.

I might go and read it.

HappyChristmasWalrusIsOver · 27/12/2007 23:42

I'm trying to avoid it, but I keep clicking on it

moondog · 27/12/2007 23:42

Speedo is the only good cossie for serious swimmers (of which I am one.)
I've worn nowt else for 30 years.
