Brown/Black mascara with no fibres, filaments, bits !

I'm looking for an old school, basic brown/ black mascara.

I used to use maybelline great lash, but they now only do black or very black, m & s did one too in a square tube but that seems to have disappeared, almay was good but can't find that now.
Everything I have tried recently seems to be gloopy, contains fibres, filaments, bits, claims to be magnetic, false eyelash effect, sky high, megawatt, so thick you can't blink !
I just want something smooth, not too thick, non clumping, non flaking with a decent brush,in brown/black shade.
Any ideas ?

Clinique lash power. Its a tubing one I think though.

I don’t like to plug Amazon unless I absolutely can’t find things elsewhere, but I get Max Factor, Masterpiece Waterproof Mascara, in Black Brown. It says black brown but it is definitely brown. No fibres, tubes, gloominess, doesn’t flake and comes off with an oil cleanser at the end of the day. Wish I could get it in the shops

Clinique naturally glossy. Easy on and easy off! Doesn’t flake, doesn’t run and lasts all day.

I like the eyeko black magic cocoa edition that I got in the m&s beauty calendar this Christmas. I think I'm going to go back to brown after years of black (mainly because I love the brown liquid liner that goes with it!).

I love no 7 stay perfect. Gold tube. It's tubing but almost impossible to clump because of the shape of the brush

Clinique lash power is fabulous.

Lancôme Hypnose in brown is my favourite every day mascara. I also like the Eyeko one mentioned but it is a “false lash” effect.

I’ve tried really hard to get on with Clinique Lash Power / No 7 Stay Perfect tubing mascaras but with my very fine, long lashes they clump really badly.

Another vote for Clinique Lash Power, no clumping for me and 2 separate people asked about my mascara recently. I’m blonde and have fine lashes. It’s probably the best mascara I’ve used and doesn’t smudge under my eyes at all, even if I go out in the rain or fall asleep (by mistake) with it on.

Oh I wish a mascara could prevent gloominess. At least it’s not gloopy though

Rimmel have a new range which is low tox, (kind & free is the name) so I assume would be without the false lash etc. I'm using the brown black colour and I'm pretty happy with it.
