blusher - powder or cream for 40+ skin

I think Trinny and Susannah recommend cream. Am off to buy a new blusher in about one hour so what's the verdict ladies? Am 41, skin on the dry side but otherwise okay. Any particular recommendations (but nothing over about a tenner or 15 quid absolute max!)

Molten Brown cheek velvet is fabulous if you can get hold of it. I get mine at the Bicester village outlet for half price.

I use Mac cream blusher.
