Can you sterilise a metal eyelash curler in boiling water?

Taking out the rubber bit obviously. I feel like this is the simplest way but Google is telling me nothing.

I can't imagine that will actually be sterile, but then again why does it need to be sterile?

You can clean it easily enough though...where has it been?!

You can straps metal by boiling it for 7 minutes. But the minute you take it out of the water the non sterile air will tough it and it won’t stay sterile long.

Hot soapy water will disinfect it effectively ( ie kill germs).

I use alcohol wipes to clean mine.

Thanks everyone. I've got an eye infection so wanted to clean it properly.

I would use isopropyl alcohol.
