I have never used any skincare, but now I'm in my 30's, with 2 children, my face is starting to see the effects, any suggestions with what to start with or brands? Thank you

Are you on Facebook? I can recommend the Caroline Hirons Skincare Freaks group.

If your concerns are purely anti ageing often cosmetic doctors will give you a consultation for prescription skincare like trentinoin.

It's a mix of realising my skin is ageing and I haven't done anything to help it.

I'm in my 30's and use a foaming face wash in the morning and a tinted SPF gel (Heliocare gel light). At night I just wash with a hot face cloth and put on a bit of Nivea cream.

Nothing fancy or time consuming because I CBA but this seems to help with my breakouts and dry skin. No amount of cream will stop the ageing process unfortunately.

Thanks @DoucheCanoe my skin is quite dry around the cheeks but I can get spots in my T zone

Check out James Welsh on YouTube. He's fab. He has a twin brother called Robert who does makeup. They amuse me greatly and they seem to genuinely care about what they're talking about.

Caroline Hirons has a really great blog post about starting a skincare routine

She’s on This Morning regularly too and there’s a good video of her doing a segment about skincare for each age which is helpful too! m.youtube.com/watch?v=RyE0SM2TAio

It can all be a bit overwhelming but a good place to start is make sure you wash your face properly morning and evening, moisturise and use spf everyday 😊
