A couple of weeks ago I came across a sample of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair in my handbag and used it that night and the next. The skin around my eyes started to itch and swell slightly (the eyes themselves were fine) so I figured I must have had some reaction to it but also figured it would calm down since I had used up all my sample anyway. It was strange as I had used all kinds of eye skincare products in the past and never had that kind of reaction.
I was in Heathrow a few days later buying some Lancôme mascara and they sold it with a pot of Génifique Yeux cream. I started using that around Xmas and again, was waking up with slightly swollen, slightly itchy and very red skin around my eyes. Again I’ve stopped using it and haven’t put anything on them for the past few days but a gentle cleanser. They’re definitely healing but wow are there some major trenches where there used to be “fine lines”.
Has anyone else experienced such a reaction from either of these products, or have any idea if there is anything I can put on them to bring things back to normal?
