Dermatologists London/Herts/Essex hair loss

Hello my hair has been falling out in clumps since having covid. I really don't want to waste my time going to lots of different dermatologists. Does anyone have a positive experience with a dermatologist/trichologist in London/Essex/Herts? I'm absolutely desperate x

Hi, My hair fell out, about 50% of it, after a very bad bout of Covid in March 2020, when no one had any idea what Covid really was or did! Head got very itchy and then my hair just started to divorce my scalp. I ended up giving the GP advice, based on the number of cases reported on sites where symptoms were being reported and, give the GP their due, they listened and carried out blood tests to check everything else was OK. I had a great hairdresser, who handled what hair I had left and layered it and cut it shorter, which really helped with the styling. Hair now back and has got darker (?) is growing well and back to normal thickness. I have since learnt hair loss is very common and is often connected with post viral stress - Telogen Effluveum. Just give it time.

Thank you. I had blood tests and all came back fine thankfully. I'm 5 months in now, I just hoped it would have stopped shedding by now!
