Anyone got Mark Hill hair straighteners?

I have the GHD normal sized ones, but have been after a pair of wide plate ones and noticed in Boots Mark Hill have wide plate ceramic straightners reduced from £99.99 to £49.99. At originally £99.99 I'm thinking they must be as good as the GHD's? Anyone got Mark Hill ones and can recommend?

I've had mine for 2 years now(slimline),never tried GHd's but mine are brilliant, and still work as well as they did when brand new.

Well worth the money in my opinion

I've found Mark Hill shampoo to be pretty good as well, the only product that's given my hair some shine.

I've got some.

Bought them because they were recommended by a friend who always has fab hair.

Other people who have borrowed mine have gone on to buy some themselves.
So yes, go ahead.

A piece of absolute nonsense information - Mark hill was in the year above me at school!

MummyPenguin, sorry to be the barer of bad news but you've got ghd's - nothing is ever going to compare!!! Save up the other £50 and buy some wide plate ghd's....you know it makes sense

Well, I was going to do that, as I've tried other straighteners, and they've never matched up to GHD, but the MH ones have come well recommended, and at £99.99 (original price) they've got to be as good as (or near as dammit) to GHD. Anyway, I've taken the plunge and bought some. Tried two different branches of Boots. Where I got them, there was only two of the wide ones on the shelf and one woman was clutching one set, I grabbed the other and there was another woman hovering looking disappointed.

A lot of the straighteners now on the market are really improving. There was something on a thread recently about the Babyliss Pro 230 and how good they are. I wouldn't have bought Babyliss before.

I have never used GHD personally but I love my Mark Hill ones and my hair looks as good as it does when they do it in the salon with GHD.

Don´t hesitate to buy a set!

Took them out of all the packaging and box yesterday after I got them home. They come with a lovely bag to keep them in which has a heat proof mat as part of the bag so you can just rest them down when you're using them. Also get a Mark Hill gift card too, and a style bible!! Imagine! Am very excited. DH says I'm sad...
