How do I do dds hair for ballet show?

Its curly/frizzy, not quite shoulder length and due to bad mothering/poor supervision, very short around ears I tried tonight and I really cant see how its going to go into a bun. Help! Will I be shunned by the pushy mums if she does not conform? (all the rest have long straight hair - damn them.)

In my DDs ballet class, if hair would not reasonably go into a bun then they had to wear a plain pink head band.

Have you tried gelling her hair?

lots of gel......won't be great, but better than lots of frizz!

I have a daughter who has frizzy-ish hair when hers is up in a bun (all my three DD's do ballet), and gel is the only way!

it will be hard and crispy after and you will need a good hair wash, but it works and you won't get evils

i think you should leave it and tell the others to pssff

Gel essential. Also a bun net (you can get them from Boots). Put her hair in a ponytail then just scoop it all into the bun net and pin it round. You can also get bun rings (a sponge donut) and pin the hair round that, which makes up for lack of hair.
