Is it any good? there's money off in Boots and I'm tempted.
One length long hair that needs some oomph!

Got the Remington version - higher wattage than the Revlon so I use it on warm rather than hot. Let my hair air dry as much as possible and then dry in sections. Can do my very thick lob in less than 10 mins. I use it between washes just to put the shape back in with no ill effects. It’s a brilliant thing.

I read about the Revlon in here. I previously used the Babyliss BH but hair got tangled in it and I had to tug at it a lot. I absolutely love my Revlon! Revolutionized blow drying for me. I have long layered hair and bought the one with the smaller brush to get more curls. It’s much cheaper in lookfantastic. I paid 40.

I've tried most of these, as a glutton for punishment. The one step is better than the big hair, which was bloody awful.

I'm not very impressed by it, it takes forever to dry the hair if you're using it that way (though in the interest of fairness I have very long hair) feels very clunky and big anddoesn't feel like it's doing the hair any good. I can get the same results quicker by rough drying upside down then a quick curl or shape with my GHD's across the lengths, which takes minutes and doesn't involve wrangling a massive bit of plastic above my head.

Perhaps it's just best suited to shorter hair, I can see it maybe working better if the hair was above shoulder length and layered well.

@bendmeoverbackwards

Is the Revlon one better than the Babyliss big curls?
Massively. BBC rips my hair out and is a nightmare to use.

I have used the Revlon, the BBH and the air wrap. The only one I still have is the Dyson.

The Babyliss became ineffectual really quickly as the bristles just went flat and wouldn't grip.

The Revlon was madly hot and the motor screamed like it was going to blow up at any minute. Made my hair smooth but very flat.

I love the Dyson for a smooth blow dry without scorching my head, but I don't think it's worth the price unless you're also going to use the curl barrels.

I had the revlon last Christmas. everytime I've used it it's made my hair look great. People even comment asking what I've done.
Best thing to do is blast your roots with a hairdryer first then from there section it and brush it dry and style with the revlon styler.
I have long thick hair down to my middle back so took about 45 mins from hair drying to finishing it.

Thank you @AnyFucker for trying to link. There are so many different models. Do you guys use the barrell brush or the flat one? Want to make sure i get the right one. I have medium fine but curly hair.

AnyFucker · 07/12/2021 19:58

Try again

Reading this thread has reminded me how much I hate the Airwrap. I use it because it was so hugely expensive that I feel guilty if I don't but I do not like the finish it give me and the style drops within hours. You have inspired me to put the Airwrap on eBay and as soon as it sells I'm going to treat myself to the small Revlon One Step instead.

bendmeoverbackwards · 11/12/2021 20:35

Thanks @AnyFucker I might splash out on one. I’ve been using babyliss one which is only ok and it keeps over heating and cutting out.

Lndnmummy · 11/12/2021 20:56

Thank you so much @AnyFucker
